Shanna Moakler announced Tuesday that her mother, Gail Moakler, has died. She was 77.

“I am so thankful for all the friends and family that have reached out and sent their condolences,” the reality star told People. “My mother was a beautiful and kind and loving woman, and she was everything that I hope to be.”

Shanna, 47, added that Gail was a “supportive” mom to her over the years.

“More than anything, she was my best friend, and I will miss her every day of my life,” she shared.

“I understand that this is a part of life and something that we all can actually support one another with, which is the loss of someone we love. Godspeed.”

The former Miss USA frequently posts about both her mom and her dad, John Moakler, on social media.

In August 2021, she celebrated the couple’s 50th anniversary with them and shared a throwback photo of Gail and John.

“To have a love like this ☺️ love you @gailmoakler @drjohnmoakler ⚓️❤️🎉 you inspire me everyday,” she captioned the Instagram post.

Shanna also paid tribute to Gail with a collage of throwback photos on Mother’s Day in 2021.

“Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful mom @gailmoakler how lucky I am to have a mom like you! You’re my best friend and my idol! I love you so much!” she captioned the sweet snaps.

The “Celebrity Big Brother” alum was married to Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker from 2004 to 2008, and they share two kids together: son Landon, 19, and daughter Alabama, 17. Shanna also has a 23-year-old daughter, Atiana, with her ex-fiancé Oscar De La Hoya.

Meanwhile, Barker, 47, has since moved on and wed Kourtney Kardashian in May 2022.
